Summary

I'm a nanny with over 20 years' experience. I love working with young children & am good at planning & structuring activities & care based on the specific needs of the children & their families. I'm caring & selfless in my service to others. I believe not only in learning through hands-on experience, but also through children, who can teach me as much as I can teach them. Although my focus is children aged 0-4 years, I have extensive experience with children of varying ages. Particularly important to me are children with special needs & special educational needs. I am involved with the children's ministry at my church and have done the relevant training to run a sunday school class at my church.

Work history

Nanny

Saeed family
2023.01 - 2026.06
  • During my 3 years with the family I have had sole responsibility for the younger child in the family .
  • The older child was my responsibility for the first year, then the dad started working from home so he took over responsibility of him as the boy felt he didn't need a nanny.
  • Whilst the older child is in school I take the younger daughter to a variety of age appropriate activities in order to enhance her development for example music, art, gymnastic and rhymetime groups. Once the older son finishes school I am involved in co-ordinating meals and routines and responding to their individual needs and general needs of the family.
  • As a nanny I understand how crucial it is to understand the individual needs of the family who I’m working with, for example cultural preferences and am always respectful of the fact that it is their home and their family.
  • My role requires me to be very flexible in responding to the needs of the children and the parents, planning activities within budgets, ensuring that they are age appropriate and safe and encouraging new opportunities.
  • Over the years I have developed strong interpersonal skills when it comes to liaising with parents, supporting the children with boundaries, whilst adapting my approach to the differing personalities of the children.

Activities & Interests

I love cooking & baking, which just so happens to be a great quality for a good nanny. I'm a very active person, so keeping kids busy and physically healthy is something I excel at. Going on walks and riding my mountain bike are activities I enjoy a lot, and I can often be found working in the garden., I also keep myself busy with various arts & crafts, & I love the challenge of a good puzzle (the more pieces, the better!)
