After being involved in nursing for almost three years as a student nurse and having a great foundation to develop I have decided to apply for this social care apprenticeship, as I feel it is the right time for me, and learning is what I really enjoy I am confident with the levels of learning

Being involved already, in the social care arena of thirty years' experience I have great understanding of how the process really works, how to identity, care, risk, and safety too

I am enthusiastic about empowerment and encouragement to progress all service users, to a better place and treating people with dignity and respect whilst respecting my professional boundaries

A person-centred approach is paramount to each conversation, first touch and assessment too Ensuring I have excellent communication skills and confidence to discuss with professionals going forward the need for support, care, or change

I am not apprehensive of complex cases and relish the challenge to progress and drive myself forward to ensure the social work Integrated apprenticeship work for me and MPFT

I am kind, empathic, caring, and supportive of my team members and their roles I work great in a team and on my own initiative

I have a great attitude towards any type of learning and enjoy the learning as well My recent academic achievement was in health and social care degree BA honours at BCU It started off as a nursing degree but unfortunately in my third year I lost both my parents in different events at the beginning of my third year and towards the end and did not go back to complete my degree which was a shame

I always try and empowerment service users and their families giving them the choice to make decisions and improve their well – being and listen to their views, expectations, and needs

As a social care assessor on the D2A pathway, I always respect the dignity and respect of every individual I make sure they are treated with respect, promote their self-determination, and recognize their unique values and life choices that they make as individuals I always make sure my visits and assessments are person centred and non – judgemental and always promote values and ethics as this is especially important I also try and include strength-based approaches within my assessments
