End-to-End Development of xApp/rApp Use Cases:

• Hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying, and validating advanced rApps and xApps for 5G O-RAN architecture, focusing on the Near-RT RIC and Non-RT RIC platforms. Proficient in integrating use cases via E2, A1, O1, and R1 interfaces.

Benchmarking Use Case (ARIANE Project – UK Govt. Funded):

• Developed a benchmarking xApp to measure and compare performance metrics using the VMware dRIC and OSC Near-RT RIC platforms.
• Simulated RAN behavior using VIAVI RAN Simulation Generator (RSG) to emulate realistic network loads and validate the xApp.
• Implemented comprehensive KPIs logging and analysis, including throughput, and latency.

Energy Efficiency Use Case (ARIANE II Project – UK Govt. Funded):

• Led the design and development of an Energy Saving rApp, leveraging Reinforcement Learning (RL) techniques to dynamically optimize radio resource usage and reduce energy consumption.
• Validated the solution in a simulated environment and currently extending it to work with an OTA (Over-the-Air) setup for live network testing.

Quality of Service (QoS) xApp – Showcased at MWC:

• Designed an intelligent QoS management xApp that monitors real-time traffic conditions and prioritizes user QoS dynamically.
• Successfully demonstrated the xApp at Mobile World Congress (MWC) to industry stakeholders.

Innovation & Patents:

• Patent filed with both Indian and US Patent Offices based on novel approaches in the benchmarking use case.

Industry Engagement & Demonstrations:

• Demonstrated the Benchmarking solution at the FYUZ event, gaining positive feedback from operators and ecosystem partners.
• Actively involved in preparing and delivering technical demos, presentations, and solution briefs to internal and external stakeholders.

My area of focus was improving and adding additional functionality to the O1 module connecting ODU-HIGH and SMO component of the O-RAN software. Implemented VES data streaming for the O1 Interface towards this.
