Extra Curricular responsibilities

I have always had a passion for Early Years Education and have lots of experience in this field. Since becoming a teacher I have supported the small village school I taught in to open a mixed nursery and reception class, successfully implementing the EYFS across the mixed aged classroom. I have also mentored a number for student teachers and college students to gain either QTS or a Child care qualification.

I have supported all EYFS provision staff within Acorn Education Trust through 6 CPD sessions held over the of the course of a year in education improvement strategies for their EYFS classroom and I have provided mentor support for teachers across Acorn Education within the EYFS and Key Stage one.

I have extensive phonic knowledge and have planned, implemented and mentored others in the delivery of phonics and the planning and teaching of English in Key Stage one.

I have been the safeguarding governor and the Safeguarding lead during my time at the school and I have been part of the schools PTA.
