Outline:
To provide administrative support, manage the database and booking systems, and arranging NMH (Non-Medical Help) support Funded by DSA / SFE (Student Finance England), for disabled students studying in universities. Also, recruit tutors,
mentors and other staff based on the requirements, and provide induction and training to new staff.
Key responsibilities:
• To carry out routine administrative duties necessary for the smooth running of business and
arranging support for disabled students.
• To manage a team of mentors, support workers and tutors, and ensure that students receive
excellent level of support.
• To work closely with the Director of Equality Enterprise to develop and refine administrative, student
service and recording information.
• To recruit tutors, mentors and other staff based on the requirements, and provide induction and
training to new staff.
• To work closely with the disability advisors at Universities, and to organize and meet with students
accessing the service.
• Recording information and managing the database and booking systems at Equality Enterprise.
• To assist with the booking of support workers, mentors and tutors for disabled students for band 1- 4
support. • To keep accurate records of hours used and to log these using excel spreadsheets.
• To provide the director of Equality Enterprise with statistical figures for audit purposes and reports.
• To check and process the pay claims and invoices which are submitted by Equality Enterprise staff.
• To act as the first contact for students, staff and university partners.
• To provide students with advice, information and guidance on the Disabled Student Allowance
(DSA) process and support available.
•To organize and book CPD training events for staff.
• To maintain confidentiality in dealing with students and company information in line with GDPR and
university policies.
• To administer the evaluation and monitoring of the service. Collating client feedback.
