British-Iranian writer, editor, and SOAS MA graduate in History of Art, with over a decade of experience in journalism, literary translation, and cultural commentary. Fluent in English, Farsi, and Arabic, with deep knowledge of Iran, Afghanistan, and the wider Middle East. My work has appeared in The Observer, and I’m guest editor of the upcoming Iran-focused edition of Writers Mosaic, where I’ve been a contributor since 2021. I’ve translated and published six books and serve on the jury for the 2024–25 Visual Artists Award. As a translator and editor, I bring a sharp eye for detail and nuance. I’m also a committee member of Exiled Writers Ink and a confident public speaker, having appeared at events such as International Women’s Day at the Royal Albert Hall. My Arab-Iranian background and London base give me a unique perspective on diaspora, identity, and cross-cultural storytelling.
