After being promoted to Senior Sales Manager in early 2023, my duties have greatly expanded. These duties now cover a wide range of responsibilities within my role at Play Music Today. These duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing all customer relations, managing and overseeing a sales team and guiding them to perform at a higher echelon of customer service, performing safety and security checks when the store opens and closes, end of day processing (including figures and cashing up), managing stock replenishment, overseeing branch transfers between stores, incoming and outgoing goods management, merchandising, creating and managing incident reports, organising and overseeing brand development deals, delegating tasks to multiple colleagues within the sales team and managing those tasks to ensure that they are carried out to a professional standard; whereby they are performed with precision and efficiency. I am also a key-holder and am therefore responsible for the opening and closing of the store. Other duties include: overseeing and managing instrument repairs, managing the cleanliness of the store and all instruments within the store, maintaining and nurturing customer relations, organising and overseeing the fulfilment of all orders, managing dispatchment of products, managing and nurturing the performance and day-to-day relations of my team, ensuring that everyone who works with me or under me is receiving the correct support that they require within their respective roles.

In March 2024, Play Music Today decided to offer me a salaried position within the company. This included a significant pay rise, and was awarded to me due to my outstanding success as acting Assistant Manager and my exceptional sales achievements during a managerial transition over the previous Christmas period; this Christmas period would turn out to be the most profitable and successful month in the history of PMT’s Cambridge branch.

My duties include, but are not limited to: maintaining customer relations, overseeing and nurturing potential customers and guiding them towards the correct product(s) for them, ensuring that every customer who walks through the door is greeted with a smile and welcomed into the store in an inviting and friendly way, liaising and maintaining relations with commercial brand sales representatives, merchandising, organising the fulfilment of multiple orders, maintaining musical instruments and managing the general cleanliness of the store.

My day-to-day duties at Hannants LTD include: overseeing and managing distribution of all international parcels and letters, ensuring that the correct products are packed correctly, ensuring that all products are packed safely and are ready for distribution, to keep a clean workstation and office area, and to provide an exemplary sales attitude towards customer service.

Taking a duty of care for any member of the public that walks through our doors, I make it my responsibility to ensure that each and every customer is treated respectfully, and to ensure that each customer’s needs are successfully taken care of. I also make sure that the establishment itself is in full working order; I take pride in ensuring that my workstation is clean and tidy and I have had multiple positive commendations from customers and peers since joining.

Ensuring that the satisfaction of the customers, the sale of food and drink, and the cleanliness of the establishment is all to the highest premium standard possible. I have also acquired three positive performance reviews that resulted in major pay rises since 2016.

I worked at this establishment alongside my studies at the University of Hertfordshire.

My general duties included directly assisting the manager of the store, on the spot repairs and services of multiple instruments and audio systems, being a sales assistant and operative to potential customers and clients, ensuring that every customer is made to feel welcomed into the store.
