Experiences & Projects

  • Member of the Edinburgh University Formula Student Driver Integration Team, responsible for the redesign, analysis, and manufacture of an adjustable pedal box for brake and accelerator systems to accommodate a wide range of driver anthropometrics. For the 2025 vehicle, leading Driver Integration, overseeing the design, simulation, and fabrication of the pedal box, steering system, and seating ergonomics.
  • EUFS 2023-24 Chassis Team. Designed the mounting bracket and chain guard for the drive train using SolidWorks (3D CAD).
  • Part of the team at Silverstone, where the EU ADS car (Sisu23E) was the first ever UK car to pass Technical Scrutineering. Was able to be proactive in creative problem-solving throughout the process.
  • Analysed the 2023 chassis by making a replica model in Solidworks and doing FEA (Finite Element Analysis) testing, looking at the torsional stiffness of the chassis, to establish what changes can be made to the tube thickness without affecting the handling performance or crash safety limits.
  • Completed the 2024 Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Summer Programme, collaborating with international students on aircraft design and CATIA modelling. Proficient in Autodesk 3DS Max for 3D modelling, shading, and creating detailed component replicas, including a 1:1 adjustable spanner.
  • Collaborated with a team of five on the 2023 Engineering for People Design Challenge (Engineers Without Borders) to develop a sustainable transport solution for Pu Ngaol, Cambodia. Proposed an environmentally friendly bridge design supported by cost analysis, structural calculations, and an environmental impact assessment.
  • Arkwright Engineering Scholarship (2021-23): Designed a variable, belt-driven, transmission drive train for a mountain bike, with a working prototype model using a V-belt drive.
  • EDT: Silver Industrial Cadet Award, Mar’21.
  • SSE Seagreen, Arbroath, Sustainable energy project designing a hydroelectric system for a block of flats.
