I was mostly on pass plating up food but during the quieter times of the day i spent making sure the kitchen was up to hygiene standards prepping food.
Often worked on the pass or grill, cooking and plating the meals before having the waiter serve them. Towards the end of my working experience i was entrusted to work some mid week shifts alone and review the stock before placing orders to local suppliers.
I have approximately 2 and a half years kitchen experience i initially applied for a pot washing job however the kitchen became understaffed so they initially trained me on pass Eventually i was properly trained and could operate all of the appliances in the kitchen and for the next 2 years i worked in a few different establishments, often at the same time
