• I teach in Year 6 daily and lead curriculum development at the school
• I lead the subject leaders for each subject curriculum subject, supporting them to write action plans, monitor progression in their subject and advise on development
• I also contribute widely to the school, continue to support with competitive sport and musical theatre projects.- I support with behaviour management across the school with expertise in the restorative approach.- I support the headteacher and deputy headteacher with policy writing, SEF and SIP writing and ensuring accountability for teachers and teaching assistants
• Demonstrate school vision in everyday personal work and practice.
• Monitored and evaluated classroom practice throughout school in the summer term and recommended improvements, planning to support teachers with this in autumn term '23.
• Spearheaded the shift to restorative behaviour management strategy resulting in teachers feeling supported to improve relationships in their classroom.

Voluntary role

• Moderated writing for Wolverhampton City Council for a number of years, including through the COVID pandemic.
• Successfully passed the standardisation exercise every year and moderated a number of schools, the most recent year as an 'experienced' moderator, supporting less experienced colleagues.
• Liaised with other moderator colleagues from different schools to address concerns and build mutually-satisfactory solutions.
• Led webinars for teachers to moderate not only writing but reading and maths virtually.
• Provided detailed feedback to schools regarding evidence shown.
• Shared details of moderation with headteacher of the school.

• Taught daily across the school - most commonly Y2 and Y6. Planned progressive lessons in multiple subjects to children of varying range of abilities and disabilities.
• Organised timetabling of staff, provision mapping, intervention and data analysis to ensure needs of all pupils are met.
• Led English and redeveloped the reading curriculum based upon the SIP targets I had written. Led weeks of CPD to improve reading teaching (my NPQSL project being the focus).
• Implemented software to support teachers deliver adapted teaching (Spelling Shed, Century Tech and Go Read).
• Led PE across the school from EYFS to Y6. Delivered INSET for staff and have provided training locally and nationally (for YST) for PE curriculum development. Qualified as swimming teacher so able to teach groups of children during school swimming lessons. Liaised with Wolves Foundation to actively support teachers delivery in PE. Created half term activity days for children, alongside Wolves Foundation staff, and worked with Wolves to support families in need with food parcels every half term.
• Created memorable moments for children, such as meeting royalty, being coached by Wolves players and having visits from many MPs and the Premier League.
• Organised after school club provision and took sports teams to competitions and festivals frequently.
• Stayed abreast of changes to school policies and educational trends by attending professional development courses and in-service training, including furthering my own education with NPQSL.
• Completed risk assessments for all sporting competitions and PE health and safety elements. Frequently led off-site educational visits, completing pre-visits and risk assessing - EVC co-ordinator trained.
• Provided the Twitter feed for the school.
• Staff governor (2020-2023), being part of many interview panels including recruiting a new headteacher and deputy headteacher - Safer Recruitment trained.
• Part of the leadership team in the recent April 2022 Ofsted inspection. Had two subject 'deep dives' and supported the Senior Leadership team with discussions about personal development and pupil premium.
  
  

A volunteer role

• Managed Wolverhampton Schools FA representative under 11 boys' team for 6 years and girls' team for 3 years. Matches took place on evenings and Saturday mornings.
• Instigated the creation of more teams including the creation of an under 10s team for boys and under 12s and 13s for girls.
• Achieved a first 'Southern Counties Cup' for Wolverhampton and managed the first ESFA National Final since 1931.
• Led meetings (as Vice Chairman) and provided new ideas to increase support for the organisation, especially the exploration of funding streams.
• Organised football tournaments for local schools to ensure organisational growth continued.

• Taught children of varying abilities and disabilities across Key Stage 2 in Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. This included children part of the EBD base contained at the school at that time.
• Encouraged a love of learning in pupils of varying abilities, enhancing positive educational experiences.
• Designed innovative teaching techniques that earned positive feedback by school management, including redesigning the reading curriculum based upon extensive research.
• Promoted commitment to school's safeguarding processes to ensure paramount student safety and wellbeing.
• Collected, analysed and tracked data on pupil progress.
• Worked collaboratively with teaching assistants to offer children optimal care and education.
• Made positive differences to pupil confidence and happiness through nurturing support and care and unwavering support for extra curricular activities.
• Increased the amount of children taking part in extra curricular activities by over 50%, thus increasing amount of competitive opportunities.
