This role has provided me with the skills to communicate effectively with and manage a team. With the responsibility of being a supervisor, I have been the point of call for baristas on shift and have had to deal with any issues that arise. Being an effective communicator has been critical, as I have had to speak with customers and ensure that they are happy with their experience. Alongside this, I am responsible for banking and administrative areas to ensure proper health and safety standards.

Although it was only work experience, I saw various aspects of engineering. The company made the yellow steps on the back on vans, which I assembled on the shop floor. During my time at school, I undertook my Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. This gave me a plethora of skills that made me a more rounded and confident as an adult. Undertaking this initiative, built my leadership and team working skills and self-discipline.
