I am an ambitious and conscientious individual who has a strong work ethic and a commitment to making a positive contribution to any workplace. I am a fast learner with a proven academic record and an ability to apply my knowledge and job experiences to any team or role. I can work independently or as part of a team and have a wide range of problem-solving skills, adapting to changing environments or situations. I am now seeking to apply my interpersonal skills, resilience, and work ethic to a role at Hippo Motor Group, with a commitment to achieving results and delivering an exceptional customer journey.
This role has provided me with the skills to communicate effectively with and manage a team. With the responsibility of being a supervisor, I have been the point of call for baristas on shift and have had to deal with any issues that arise. Being an effective communicator has been critical, as I have had to speak with customers and ensure that they are happy with their experience. Alongside this, I am responsible for banking and administrative areas to ensure proper health and safety standards.
Working in this busy local restaurant has allowed me to build effective interpersonal skills. I can respond to a changing work environment, working under pressure during busy services. This was a fast paced role which requires effective customer service and professional communication.
I started this employment at the beginning of university, progressing from a kitchen porter to taking on more responsibilty. I was responsible for food preparation and front of house duties. Through this role, I prided myself on maintaining high standards in the kitchen, offering positive customer serviceand delivering a quality product.
Taking on this part time role after my GCSE's developed my manual dexterity and skills. I was able to follow instructions suing safety protocals to complete defined tasks. Being able to complete manual tasks with precision and accuracy was key to this role.
Although it was only work experience, I saw various aspects of engineering. The company made the yellow steps on the back on vans, which I assembled on the shop floor. Also attempting welding and being shown the laser cutter this experience develop knowledge and manual skills. This also shows an interest in engineering from a young age.
