Working for a large nationwide logistics handling multi-temperature freight with transport, co-packing and warehousing.

Planning all the movements inbound and outbound from head office branch in Castle Donington and other hubs in Leeds.

  • Working along side supermarket giants ensuring stock was planned and delivered and booked in timely management.
  • Using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) to plan schedules and matrix's with data from the customers and data entering them onto the schedules to ensure the whole business is aware of what sending to, where and on what date.

Part of my job role was to getting customers kitchen orders to anywhere in worldwide especially to growing market United States America.

· Obtaining quotes with many number of carriers whether this is for small packages, dedicated vehicle or 20/40ft shipping containers.

· Working with Google sheets and Microsoft Office applications to updating shipping schedules and documents for each customer.

The role I was working on involved high volumes and a fast turnover with critical deadlines to which had to be met on a daily basis.

  • Planning and organizing transport for components and finished product movements within in-house transport to ensure keeping a high stock level across multiple warehouse networks.
  • Completing many company reports across the Microsoft Office applications, main use of Excel, Word and Outlook, also using the live tracking systems making sure these are completed to strict deadlines set by the end customer.
  • The use of Oracle database management system is a key part of my role and was used everyday.
  • Working in a large team across 4 on 4 off 12hour working patterns to ensure the operation working on was a 24hr operations, being in communication with my team and the opposite team to ensure the day to day jobs and not impacted.
  • Creating Excel CSV files and uploading them onto the Parcelforce.net platform creating customer labels using Zebra Printers

A highly motivated and experienced team leader for CH Robinson c/o Bio Medical Research with over 12 years knowledge and experience.

Over those years i have built up a strong relationship with consumable suppliers, carriers such like DPD, Sims Transport and the customer Bio Medical Research. Being able to complete all the daily reports using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word but with the ability to carry out value conference calls with the customer where the need to use Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint was paramount in these calls.

During my time at CH Robinson c/o Bio Medical Research i was the Team Administrator therefore showing motivation and the ability to lead a team ensuring all tasks were completed to the highest standards working closely with my team and inspiring them to complete their job roles knowing they could do with the confidence and understanding from adequate training provided.

With the ability to pickup computer literacy and high standards in usage of the Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Drop Box, Teams and Outlook) working in a freight forwarding (warehouse) environment I picked up the warehouse Management system Delta WMS with ease and in the 12 years at CH Robinson becoming a super user for the warehouse system.

As a super user this gave me the ability to train others how to use the system more effectively ensuring there jobs could be completed at the higher standard. Using Delta WMS i carried out stock checks and other stock reports but also completed daily B2C (Business to Customer) and B2B (Business to Business) picks received daily from the customer, on a daily basis we was averaging 1000-1500 B2C orders a day. Working in this fast pace demanding environment showed my best skills and ability to handle stress to ensure the picks were completed before the carriers collected by the end or the working day.

Some of my other daily tasks can be seen below:

  • Purchasing consumables, building up that strong relationship with all the suppliers ensuring what was offered was provided at the best price available.
  • Completing all customer required daily reports, making sure they are completed within the time requirements.
  • Constant training and performance reviews of fellow colleagues.
  • Daily communication with Bio Medical Research, and Kaptec (call centre for BMR) .
  • Account invoicing using internal invoicing system Navisphere.
  • Customer /carrier complaints - Using Outlook or attending phone calls to communicate with the customer and carriers to ensure complaints were dealt with in a professional manner.
  • Waste Management - ensure the sites waste management was following government guidelines working with the waste departments (Enva Waste and Veolia) ensuring the company was competing to be as economical to the environment as much as possible.
