In my final year of studying, my placement school was Rhiw Syr Dafydd Primary School and I worked with a Year 3 class. After a hugely successful placement block, the school offered me the opportunity to be the Year 4 teacher for the Summer Term while finishing my studies. Consequently, I accepted the role from April until the summer break. This allowed me to gain additional, valuable experience ahead of graduating in July 2023. I have since been employed as the Year 4 teacher at Rhiw Syr Dafydd Primary School, planning engaging teaching, tracking progress of my learners and enhancing their skills across the curriculum. I have taken a lead role in the PE aspect of school life and have planned our medium term planning for Year 4 as well as leading a football club and other supervised sports and excursions including a residential trip to Cardiff Bay.
