In this placement, I was trusted with teaching young students alone, proving my reliability and dedication to my work whilst developing key patience and leadership skills.

  • Over the last eight years, I have developed great teamwork skills through a passion for youth American Football, playing for under 12s, U16s, and, most recently, U19 age groups Furthermore, I have had extra opportunities to develop this through my involvement in the Great Britain Under 17s program for American Football I have also developed this skill through various activities and events during my time in the Army Cadet Force

Working under pressure

  • Previously, I have had to adapt to new and stressful situations regarding teaching, wellbeing and behaviour issues, predominantly alone as the sole responsibility figure in both Army Cadets and during work experience as a teaching assistant in a primary school

  • Previously, at my local Army Cadet Force unit, I would constantly lead parades of up to 50 people, taught lessons and dealt with difficult situations without external help I have also taken on the role of a senior captain on my sports team, leading practice drills, encouraging teammates in tough situations and games

Karate, Weekly, I take part in physically demanding, extremely disciplined, and difficult sessions of martial arts. As I have progressed through belt levels, currently holding '1st Dan Black Belt', I have been trusted with teaching and leadership responsibilities., Youth American Football, I have consistently been part of a dedicated, disciplined team, at points proving to be an essential and reliable part of the team. Furthermore, from December 2023 until October 2024, I had the privilege of being selected to play in the Great Britain Under 17s program after a trial process. I also hold the responsibility of being a senior captain, leading friends in a professional and inspiring manner., Scouting Association, Over the last 10 years, I have consistently attended meetings, learning valuable life skills, developing teamwork abilities, and learning to take pride in my uniform and appearance. In addition to this, I have made life-long friendships., Army Cadet Force, Weekly, holding the rank of 'Cadet Lance Corporal', I led formal parades of up to 50 cadets, carried out specific uniform inspections, and taught difficult lessons. This shows my reliability and responsibility to the adult leaders who entrusted me with these tasks. The group has also allowed me to form essential self-discipline, self-determination, and resilience.
