A highly positive, efficient and driven Teaching Assistant with 14 years of experience working with children in Early Years.

Working within Teaching has enabled me to develop and skills and knowledge which I am keen to utilize in a different job role, where I can further develop my skills and be able to work within an effective team.

Throughout my career I have developed strong verbal communication skills through teaching, liasing in team meetings and engaging with parents.

I am an organized and a dependable individual successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude and a willingness to take on added responsibility to meet team goals and deadlines.

I am knowledgeable, flexible and a quick learner with the ability to problem solve when dealing with challenging or unexpected situations.

  • Being able to take full responsibility in covering classes, planning and teaching lessons.
  • Supporting and developing children's learning and development through careful planning with the team and enhancing the provision to ensure all children's learning needs are met.
  • Assisting and liaising with colleagues and working closely with the class teacher to ensure classroom management, displaying children's learning through class displays which provides a variety of learning that children have experienced.
  • Supporting and carrying out classroom activities, group time for all subjects taught within EYFS, and reviewing children's learning to assess progress and develop next steps to support learning further.

  • Working very closely with parents on a daily basis, engaging in excellent communication skills with parents to develop good parent working relationships with staff and the school to enable every parent to be a part of their child's learning, this is done through regular parent meetings, Family Friday sessions in the mornings, having an open door policy for all parents, and liaising with parents in regards to their child's learning or keeping them up to date with general school information which is carried out in the mornings and at the end of the school day.
