Paddocks, Barns & Stables
Over the years I have gained knowledge of managing large paddocks, trees, natural water, driving tractors and starting horses, big or small.
Early am - Lunchtime & late evening feeds pm each day, inside barns and outside.
Horsewalker for each barn.
Foaling down of mares
Lunging and water treadmilling young stock and racehorses
Grooming horses for sale photos, bringing in horses for farrier and veterinary treatment, rug up horses in winter
Use of Billygoat machine and petrol blower for sweeping yard
Keep paddocks clear of ragwort throughout the year
Cleaning tack - headcollars and bridles
Feed hay and clean each hors in stable. Put selected horses on horse fitness plan. Fetch horses from top paddock either walk or drive horsebox. Take selected horse to water treadmill in horsebox.
Washdown horses after ridden, untack put sweat rug on horses back in stable.
Keep yards tidy. Bring shaving and hay for each stable
Work for two rider in share yard - feed hay, clean, bed down each horse
Rug up, untack or tack up horses
Fetch horses from paddocks for farrier or veterinary
Soak hay, clean tack, tidy and sweep yards
