I am compassionate and dedicated to providing quality care, I enjoy all aspects of providing emergency care to patients
I provide high quality overnight care for hospitalised inpatients, frequent clinical checks, assessing pain and ensuring adequate analgesia is administered. Administering required medication and fluid therapy and keeping accurate records to ensure that everything is properly priced.
I also take the phones and we would provide emergency out of hours care for our clients pets, including stabilisation and emergency surgery.
Same overnight dutys as with Nurture vets.
Garston was quite a large hospital and had 5 branches so overnights were very busy
Delivered high-quality patient care throughout night shifts across the referral hospital, we covered all areas of the hospital
start and end dates are approximate
other duties as for Nurture vets although we didnt have the phones,
Silva house was a large busy mixed practice, I qualified whilst working there
we provided high quality nursing care and all aspects of general nursing for the practice, anaesthetics and surgery and close monitoring and medicating
we also had busy overnight shifts where we would take the phones for small, large and equine emergencies and I think this is where my love of emergency nursing started.
I was also the main large and equine nurse and used to go out with the vets to assist with surgery and xrays and vetting’s
I was also head nurse for the practice up until I had my children in 2004
Again the dates are approximate
I work well in a team or alone, I am quite organised and cope well under high stress situations
I like to think I have high standards when it comes to my job and my level of care,
I love all aspects of nursing the emergency case, from the stabilisation, surgery, to critical care nursing
