While working at the university (which turns there accommodation into a hotel during the summer) I worked as a part of a large team broken down into smaller ones. taking part in deep cleaning of students rooms and kitchens as well as communal areas in the receptions. Helping others in the team, or being sent to help other teams when work was finished. during the open season, it was more house keeping work, changing bedding and towels in a orderly manner, cleaning rooms and updating stock in kitchens and cubords.Taking on supervisor roles when it got busy, helping to organise teams to finish jobs quickly wile still keeping high standards of cleanliness.
While working at the workshop (part- time) i carried out many tasks big or small to aid the smooth work flow for others and the business as a whole. Greeting and helping when needed, updating diaries and answering phones. Along with general maintenance of the space, making sure things are where they should be, so as and when needed they can be located fast. Along with stock checks and refilling and cleaning the vans. Never feeling scared to ask how to do something correctly as it is always better to ask than to make a mistake, always willing to learn.
While working at the café, yet again my main responsibilities were kitchen porter and waitressing. Making sure stock was UpToDate and refilled, along with maintaining a high level of cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen, making sure things were where they needed to be and clean, to aid speed in the café. Along with greeting customers, having polite conversations and aiding to any complaints or requests.
While working at the pub my main responsibly were to work at the Kitchen Porter, and to assist in the kitchen, Along with being the waitress and assisting the bar when needed, making sure complains or requests were met. Even being quite a small pub it could get extremely busy on days when a band were playing or the games were on, so it was quite a all hands on deck in that situation. making time to assist the bar or collect glasses while also taking orders, deliver food and keeping on top of dishes and prep. Along with keeping a count of stock to check we wouldn't run out on busy nights.
