As the Neurodiversity Support Manager, I am responsible for leading and coordinating support for neurodivergent prisoners. My work is based on five key priorities: identifying needs and sharing information, staff training, targeted support, creating a neurodiversity-inclusive environment, and preparation for release.

- Zones of Regulation – help others when they become dysregulated and aid in the understanding of emotions and how to manage feelings and get ourselves to a healthy place
- Autism Education Trust - identifying learning priorities and measuring progress in areas which relate closely to autism ‘differences’ and the impact of these differences have on young people’s social, emotional, independence and learning needs.
- Trauma Informed School – Training that teaches how to support children and teenagers who suffer with trauma or mental health problems and whose troubled behaviour acts as a barrier to learning

- Safeguarding – Clennell - Clennell Education Solutions (CES) is a company that provides support for organisations, schools and education establishments for all their behaviour and safety needs
- SCART - (Sir Charles Parsons Assessment and Recording Tool) is a formative assessment tool which assesses the progress of students with additional and complex needs who may previously have had progress charted via P-levels. By using the tool, it is possible to record small steps of progress within phases, the first of which draw upon the Engagement Model and then feed into pre-key stage standards. The tool can be used to measure progress for children in mainstream for whom usual assessment means are not yet appropriate
- Autism Hub training – North East Autism Society - addressed common misconceptions and differences in autistic children and practical strategies to use in everyday life.
- Adoption Tees Valley – Attachment and Trauma – recommendations on how to support young people who have experienced abuse, neglect and trauma, and who may have developed unhealthy coping strategies. Understanding how attachment and trauma can have an impact on a child’s brain development and how they might need extra support to help strengthen the architecture of their brain.

- PREVENT training - counter-terrorism strategy, with the aim to tackle ideology, support people susceptible to radicalisation and enable those who have already engaged in terrorism to disengage and rehabilitate
- SENTASS Dyslexia Training - advice and support to improve the outcomes for young people who have significant and persistent difficulties in literacy and maths.
