Summary

As a Psychology graduate (BSc Hons), i have deleveloped a strong academic grounding in human behaviour, mental health, psychopathology, and developing focus on counselling psychology. My dissertation explored the link between social relationships and quality of life, demonstrating the impact of interpersonal relationships on wellbeing. Alongside my studies, i gained hands on experience as an SEN teaching assistant, supporting children with autism and complex medical needs. This role enabled me to apply psychological knowledge in practice, enhancing my skills in developmental support, emotional regulation, and inclusive learning.

A mind to be free is what everybody longs for, in whatever circumstance. I am deeply motivated to integrate rigorous psychological knowledge with empathy and innovative, evidence based approaches to improve mental wellbeing, cultivate emotional resilience, and support individuals in navigating complex cognitive, emotional and social challenges. My goal is to contribute meaningfully to the promotion of adaptive coping strategies, personal growth, and sustained life outcomes, while applying a nuanced understanding of human behaviour to foster transformative support. The opportunity to make a meaningful difference, even in the life of a single person, would be fulfilling, and i am dedicated to continually deepening my expertise and understanding to broaden the scope and depth of the impact i can have.

For over a year, i had the opportunity to work in a variety of schools supporting children with special educational needs and health conditions. I provided direct assistance to autistic pupils, helping them to engage with learning and build confidence in the classroom. I also supported children with medical needs, including diabetes, ensuring their safety and inclusion. The role required patience, adaptability, and the ability to provide individual support while maintaining awareness of group dynamics. This hands on experience, alongside my academic background in psychology, deepened understanding of child development, complex behaviour, behavioural differences and the challenges faced by children with additional needs, while strengthening my communication, empathy and safeguarding skills.
