Sam West

I am an avid guitar and music enthusiast with over 15 years’ experience playing a wide variety of music both on the acoustic and the electric Guitar. I am well versed in live performance and regularly perform my own compositions and covers, including at a major UK festival. I run my own YouTube channel creating guitar related content including gear reviews, lessons, and video essays. I have a wide range of knowledge surrounding Guitar gear and I am comfortable maintaining, setting up and refinishing instruments. Furthermore, through the channel I have also gained experience in videography, and I am competent using editing software. (Final Cut Pro)

I have an outgoing confident personality which lends itself well to customer facing roles, both virtually and in person. I am always eager to take on new challenges, learn as I go and take on responsibility. During my time at University, I was President of the Swansea University live music society. Throughout my time in the role, I essentially rebuilt the society from the ground up in the wake of the pandemic, from no members at the start of the academic year to over 60 a year on. Throughout this period, I organised events, socials and introduced and ran weekly 'Jam' sessions for members along with open mics at the student union bar.

I am extremely passionate about all thing’s guitar, not only playing and performing but sharing my knowledge and expertise. I believe I would be a great asset to the Guitarbitz team both on the shop floor and as a content creator. Given the opportunity I am confident in my ability to grow the online presence of Guitarbitz, bringing not only direct revenue from YouTube but also the obvious financial benefits associated with a growing online customer base.
