History and Philosophy graduate with a background in charity fundraising and events coordination, hoping to build a career in international environmental policy and governance.
As an intervention tutor at Acland Burghley Secondary School, I offer one-to-one and classroom support to SEN children and those in need of extra support. This work helps to build young people's confidence in the classroom and beyond.
For the 2023/24 year I was the events coordinator for Bummit, the world’s largest student charity hitch hike organisation. The popularity of the events, as well as direct fundraising initiatives at our events, helped Bummit to raise over £59,000 for eight charities in the 2023/24 year.
As the events coordinator I fostered mutually beneficial connections with independent local establishments to create a fundraising network across the city.
In this role I developed skills in event management, fundraising strategy, and the importance of effective social media use.
As Chair of the Nature Inspired Peaks Swimming Society (NIPS) I attempted to bridge the divide between Sheffield Students and the local community by promoting access to natural spaces. In collaboration with the nationwide campaigning group Right2Roam I organised collective swims. Ultimately my role involved reshaping NIPS from a clique of students into an open and community oriented society devoted to environmental engagement.
During my time at The Pineapple, I became a reliable and adaptable employee with extensive experience in hospitality, whilst also developing my ability to work diligently in a team.
