Summary

I am 19 years old and currently a first-year University student looking for a part-time job to earn some extra cash on the side to keep me afloat. I have a strong work ethic and I'm highly motivated to get into work, along with learning new skills, adapting to new environments, and getting to meet new kinds of people. I truly believe I can be a versatile and valuable member, whilst also being a friendly-face to help customers and colleagues alike. Thank you for considering my application.

Work History

Crew Member

McDonalds
Burgess Hill, West Sussex

  • Provided fast, reliable service that helped me refine my customer service skills.
  • Collaborated as part of a team, which helped me improve my teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Processed payments, dealt with cash, and often changed cash tills.
  • I often worked closing-down shifts, which required a wide range of skills, including cleaning floors and surfaces, being in charge of shutting off equipment, cleaning the inside of equipment, putting things in storage, and being responsible for storing food in the fridge/freezer, which required lengthy food safety training, among many other skills.
  • I also worked opening shifts requiring me to clock in as early as 6 AM, which certainly helped my disciplinary skills.
  • Addressed customer complaints with empathy and a calm head, managing to diffuse a multitude of situations with angry customers.
  • Kept food preparation areas sanitised and hygienic.
  • Worked in a versatile role, sometimes assembling the food and handing it out to the customers, working on drinks, serving the fries, or working on the drive-thru.

  • Organised leaflets before distribution for efficient delivery.
  • I was required to independently deliver the leaflets, which helped improve my time-management skills, organisational skills, and my disciplinary skills.
  • Strategically chose locations to distribute flyers as efficiently as possible.
  • I delivered to every single house thoroughly without fail (unless they have a sign saying "No Junk Mail").
  • Improved my GPS and orienteering skills.
