  • Demonstrated dedication to safety with regular equipment checks. Always wearing correct PPE to ensure safety of myself and others.
  • Used Combi-truck for swift movement of heavy items. I obtained the license for this vehicle as i knew it would greatly improve the efficiency of my work and take the load off of my team members.
  • Loaded lorries to facilitate prompt delivery schedules. This meant I had to converse with delivery drivers on a daily basis and ensure the goods being transported each way are taken off and put onto the lorry safely and efficiently.
  • Driving on-site vehicles meant i had to complete daily checks to ensure the safety of the vehicles.
  • Assisted in inventory management, ensuring accurate records were kept. I regularly was given the responsibility of taking stock counts in each department as I am a reliable and trustworthy employee.
  • Picked orders accurately, reducing instances of return or exchange. This required a level of accuracy and vigilance as I had to send the correct components or good to our customers.
  • Stacked pallets, creating an organised storage system. This done to create more space and keep the warehouses organised and safe for our staff to move around in.
  • working in this role also demanded the ability to work well and consistently as a team as many of the tasks require more than one person. This was easy for me as I excel in team oriented things.

Retail Assistant

Guess
Banbridge, Down
09.2018 - 04.2022
  • The Guess store i work in is situated in the Boulevard Banbridge where I developed my skills in customer service, stockroom management and having a key role in the deliveries coming in and out of the store
  • After working in that fast-paced environment for nearly 3 years and learning with each customer interaction i can confidently say that i am a reliable, approachable, trustworthy and understanding individual who excels in situations of pressure or high focus tasks.
  • key role as Stock Room manager to ensure the stock was kept organised and neatly stored.
  • I was also in charge of the deliveries coming in and out of the store, this role meant I had to speak to delivery drivers on the phone and face to face to resolve problems or issues that occur with any incoming or outgoing deliveries.
  • Dealing with new season items to go on sale in our shop I had to make sure my attention to detail of the stickers was correct as the codes on the items are quite similar. This has really helped me develop my eye for mistakes and attention to detail.
  • After while of working in the store I was asked frequently for my input in regards to the visual merchandising and how we would set up our displays.
  • I Delivered excellent customer service by answering queries and providing product information whether this be face to face with a customer or over the phone.
  • My time in Guess was great and developed my already eager ability to speak to customers calmly and respectively during any situation that arose.
  • Having monetary targets for each shopping week gave me an opportunity to gain a feeling of satisfaction by surpassing the target. this lead to me being involved in meetings with our manager and assistant manager to determine ways of succeeding and hitting our targets.
