Sam Jackson

I come from an engineering background as my father is a hydraulic and mechanical engineer, because of this I have learnt from his mindset and from my experience working with him I have learned a lot about the processes associated with becoming an engineer such as; machinery maintenance, workplace maintenance, outsourcing etc. I can offer a variety of different skills and services because of my problem solving mind and because of my leadership, I can take charge of a project with enough experience. I can listen and complete any task that is handed to me, as nothing is too hard to complete if it’s possible.

Alongside my pursuit of my education of 2 A-Levels and Level 3 Btech in Engineering, I am eager to learn a lot more to help my achieve my goals.

• Competed in extra-school activities such as; First Tech challenge and SRC cup, where I came 2nd in both of the tournaments. In the First tech challenge I was the team leader and was held with the responsibility of building a robot and help design it. As well as asses my teammates different skills and strong points to assign them an appropriate task that they can complete, while still having fun. SRC cup is a RC-Car tournament where my team was able to achieve 2nd place. Again, I was the designated team leader, as well as the main driver. I had the same job as last time, however, I also helped my teammates in the design of the body shell of our RC car. I did this with my experience of Fusion 360.

• Space - Astrology : To strengthen my physics project, I grew an interest in astrology, this helped me with the research project i was completing. With the knowledge I gained I was able to compile a presentation about black holes.
• Aerospace - I have always been captivated by aviation and the engineering behind some of its most complex achievements. I am eager to learn more about the industry.
