  • Volunteering at the refugee camp in Kofinou, Cyprus was an extremely rewarding experience that strengthened my perseverance, as well as my communication and leadership skills.
  • Whilst this was, at times, an emotionally tasking experience as many of the children suffered from physical disabilities as well as emotional trauma, it improved my understanding of the effects of human displacement on the international community.
  • My main roles included organising enjoyable activities for the children as well as fundraising money and collecting goods to send to the camp.
