Summary

I'm an enthusiastic and professional Local Services Manager with 23 years of experience in different roles working for Alzheimer's Society. I secure team success through hard work, attention to detail and I have excellent organisation skills. I share skills and knowledge to achieve the best results for people with dementia. I am approachable and have an open door policy to not only my team, but to peers and others in the organisation.

I would love this opportunity to work with people with dementia and the organisation to support teams across the 3 Nations to achieve best outcomes and a person-centered approach to all the work we do to achieve our "Help & Hope Strategy"

Alzheimer's Society
North Somerset
2019.12 - Current
  • Delivering grant services for North Somerset adhering to KPI's for over 5 years. A commissioners report is done quarterly reporting on our groups, dementia support service, dementia friendly communities and case studies along with any feedback we have received. I use CRS & Power BI to access data for North Somerset.
  • I manage a team of 7 dementia advisors and 1 dementia friendly community coordinator. This includes recruiting, training, 1-1's, team meetings.
  • As a team we deliver a dementia support service that is person centered, audited, safe and adhering to the service guide. This year we want to reach out to GP's to make them aware of our services so we can reach more people and support with an early diagnosis. We have a very good relationship with the Memory Service who refer straight to us after diagnosis. We also deliver activity groups across North Somerset that are compliant; we have recently done a piece of work around this making sure that we have enough Volunteers to service users ratios. All risk assessments are up to date and the current service guides have been given out, including an exit strategy. Our DFCC delivers a "living with dementia group" - listening to the voices of people with dementia. We include people with dementia in our decision making and recruiting.
  • I attend meetings for the two ICS's in North Somerset - Weston, Worle & Villages and Woodspring.
  • I facilitate a "dementia focus group" across North Somerset where Statuary and Voluntary Organisations meet to network .
