Work History

GP REGISTRAR ST3

Alchester Medical Practice
Bicester
08.2021 - Current

- Practice has Same day appointment system , telephone calls and face to face appointments

-I enjoy working at the practice , as there is a range of older and younger population , and due to new housing in the area we have noted a rise in the younger population.

-We do not have a duty doctor , and the practice will add to list urgent appointments and routines .

-I have been comfortable seeing more patients face to face now and am familiar with the referral systems and community support available to GPs locally.

I have worked with the DNs to provide patient care to housebound patients and have done home visits for patients who are housebound and need clinical reviews and assessments.

A large practice with about 20,000 patients, since it was my first experience of general practice in england and it was during covid where the GP system had changed to telephone calls it was a new experience for me as i had just finished my hospital job in paediatrics.
