• Supporting Children who present with a range of mental health problems, behavioural, social and educational difficulties, following their exposure to a range of traumatic Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
  • To help promote a safe, inclusive, stimulating, caring and culturally appropriate environment for the young people.

  • Record any significant conversations with the young person, regarding their past abuse, feelings, allegations or general remarks on Behaviourwatch
  • Assist with daily activities, including preparation of meals for the young people and assist with cleaning the home to a high standard
  • Wake the young people for the morning routine and encourage them into education
  • Drive young people to school, Diversion activities or contact with friends and family as required and set out in their daily and weekly planners
  • Provide transport, supervision and guidance to residents during group as well as individual Diversion activities
  • Update resident case notes daily on Behaviourwatch
  • Record tokens daily with the presence of the young person in accordance with the requirements of the token economy programme Praise them for tokens achieved
  • Report all incidents to your manager during the day or on call manager during the evening
  • Do a Therapeutic Keywork Session (TKS) to follow on each incident within 24 hours from the time of the incident.

I have been a doula for six families multiple times.

The first family I was a doula for was in 2005, and the last family was in 2024. Some families, I have been with them through multiple births.

• I have helped 11 new mothers through their pregnancies, purchasing new-born essentials, and preparing their maternity bags before they get taken into the hospital.
• I have also organized their homes by cleaning and adding furniture, as and when required.
• I have then supported the mothers through their births/labour and been present after birth to help the mothers tend to the babies and look after the mothers to ensure that they are healthy and provide them with anything that they need, such as nourishment through food, and encourage any medications that they need.
• I also pamper them and purchase more essentials if they need them.
• I have been present through the baby's first month, and over the years, when required, I have been regularly checking in on them when parents require help, ensuring that they have all of their essential needs met, encouraging their development, and ensuring that they have all of their health appointments kept.

The family had four children: 3 months old, 6 years old, 7 years old, and 9 years old. I was a live-in nanny. The mother didn't speak much English, and the father was away for work majority of the time. I was a part-time nanny with the family.

I stayed with the family when their eldest child, who was 4 years old, he had cerebral palsy. The mother had two additional children while I was working with the family. I worked with the family on a part-time basis.
