ENGAGEMENT: Core Modernisation One Savings Bank, UK – Sep 2022 – Ongoing

As the Lending Engineering Lead, I shaped the new lending proposition for the brokers that enables 100% digital onboarding of brokers with "Agreement in Principal" and "Full Mortgage Application" in less than 15 minutes.

Responsibilities:

• Leading a large cross-functional team in building 100% digital onboarding, payment, servicing, colleague dashboards, customer 360-degree, and colleague portal to migrate from the existing legacy system to a cloud-native modern banking application.
• Defining the MMP scope and rollout approach, including testing approach to launch the mortgage journey.
• Advising client to make enterprise wide critical system selection such as CRM, FinCrime, Valuations, Decisioning, Conveyancing and Insurability leveraging my deep industry knowledge and thought leadership.
• Delivered broker portal to reduce mortgage journey time by 50%, while managing and cultivating couple of talented engineering teams across 3 countries.
• Fully automated decisioning and valuation journey that reduced underwriting time from months to 1 week.
• Broker onboarding time reduced from 3 days to 5 minutes with Broker-360 view for colleagues
• Setup Technical Design Authority (TDA) and facilitate all technology decisions including selection of 20+ Fintech system
• Enabled cross functional team to have single page view for all engineering metrics leveraging Azure DevOps Dashboards
• Product owner for a company-wide inner source product to reduce build time of any customer journey by ~30%. This product is used company-wide during client demos.
• Ramped up the team on nCino and Mambu

ENGAGEMENT: Cloud Native Digital Bank, WIO, UAE – Apr 2021 – Aug 2022

As Engineering lead Onboarding, Customer and Account Maintenance domains, I delivered a NeoBank for SME in less than 9 months for CB UAE approval and ready for public launch in 18 months

Responsibilities:

• Key stakeholder management and connect with the CTO daily to discuss key design decisions, rollout plans, challenges and action plan.
• Designed Seamless 100% digital on-boarding experience for bank to onboard SMEs faster that has allowed bank to capture large share of SMEs in 1st year of launch.
• Working closely with Product and OPS team designed a system with high level of straight through processing for colleagues to focus on exceptions reducing the cost of running and productivity.
• Driven RFPs with 15+ third-party vendors to automate customer onboarding journey.

ENGAGEMENT: Digital Property Assessment, SAN MATEO County – Jan 2019 – Mar 2021

• As an offshore Engineering lead, led the delivery of entire Salesforce based solution for US government client, while building ODC team of 50+ people from scratch.

Responsibilities:

• Delivered National award winner serverless AI/ML solution which has reduced costs with ~2M USD per year and reduced building plans approval process time by ~60%.
• Led cleanup and migration of 40 years old data from 20 different sources to this Salesforce and AWS based solution
• Built and Inner-sourced data quality portal to act as a migration portal for any project. Being currently used in 2 different projects.
• Technologies: Spark, Scala, Salesforce, Java, Spring Boot, Talend, AWS (S3, Lambda, Textract).
