Web Designer (Figma)

  • In this project, my team and I create a model website on Figma which focused on functionality and user-centred design.
  • We created Wireframes, user stories, and use case diagrams to show the overall design and functionality of the website.
  • This gave me extensive experience in user interface design and furthered my understanding of how to design websites that will satisfy a user's needs.
  • Overall, this project highlighted the importance of planning and communication when working in a team which I can now take into any collaborative work I do in the future.

Programmer

  • I was in a group of 7 people which had the roles of designer, developer, manager and analyser I chose the role of the developer.
  • This project taught me how to communicate with others during our daily scrums to get their ideas on how the website should be developed.
  • I had to have good communication especially with my programming partner and the designer as we had to constantly discuss about the wireframes.
  • This experience enhanced my skills in both front-end and back-end development while strengthening my teamwork and communication abilities.
  • The project gave me valuable insight into the collaborative process of building a functional website in a real-world environment.

Programmer

  • This project was made by me a friend we created our own version of Life 360, so we shared then role of developer, designer and tester.
  • This project was the first project prior to my final year project in which no help or guidance from university lecturers were provided for example learning how to implement external APIs like maps, places and routes Api.
  • This experience gave me the resilience to learn and implement skills on my own and to help communicate with a partner whilst working on the same project.
