I have served in the RAF since January 2001 Serving in both the UK and overseas within the Logistics Driver Branch. With experience driving a variety of vehicles ranging from Cars to specialist airfield assets such as refuelling vehicles and cranes. I also have skills in Fleet management which would involve monitoring, maintaining and getting optimal use from a fleet of vehicles. This management would include utilising different category's of vehicles and different driving abilities with a variety of licences and qualifications. At times this role would be high tempo with a need to keep a high output during demanding times under pressure.
I am a experienced vehicle instructor on a variety of platforms ranging from cars, minibuses to specialist airfield vehicles as well as off road vehicles.
My role would include delivering training programs for military personnel.
I spent 3 years out of the Logistics branch working with the Armed Forces Career Office in both Carlisle and London. This was another vital role in engaging with civilian agencies such as Schools, Collages, Cadets, Job fairs and Universities. Engaging in recruitment interviews and the validation of service tests.
I am also a Football referee for the FA where i officiate on Supply and contributory Leagues, I have also been selected on several occasions to represent the RAF referees in the USA.
I have a high work effort with a calming personality having dealt with some high pressure situations. I think the skill to keep calm under pressure is vital in most aspects of work and life.
