Ryan Winterburn

During my placement at the RGU union, I worked closely with a marketing and production team to create high-quality and informative social media posts. I did this by Planning, Filming, Editing, and Posting videos for both landscape and portrait social media outlets. I also was taught how to set up microphones, cameras, lighting, and seating to then produce and direct a social media live stream where hosts and audiences would interact with each other with the microphones I set up while also running the live stream online to gather votes and questions that people on social media may have that were then fed back to the host. This helped me gain experience with working with a media team, Interviewing colleagues and strangers, working to post projects to a set deadline, and how to set up mixers, cameras, and lighting in a professional manner as well as producing and directing said production.

• Operated cash register for cash, check, and credit card transactions with high accuracy.
• Maintained, organised, and clean customer areas by completing daily recovery checklists.

I went to ROVOP for 1 week to see how the finance, business and technical side of the company work. I got to get hands on with there ROV equipment and got to see all the guidelines and training they have to follow. I also had to make a presentation with the team there to show people how certain parts of there equipment works and it was a great experience that helped me work with team.

This was a week after ROVOP and it was very different environment with seeing how the finance, business and technical side of their jobs work. I was shown how they diagnose modern day electronic vehicle faults. This also taught me teamwork but it also taught me how important it is to plan ahead so everything goes smoothly

The key modules I studied at RGU are narrative filmmaking, digital media, media history, research projects, cinema and society, cinema culture, business creativity, media strategy and innovation, commercial and corporate filmmaking, and more.

Completed professional development in Film making and was able to complete all assessments leading to a final A grade. All work at college was completed through 'Avid Media Composer' as i was trained to use this software along with 'Adobe Creative Cloud' and 'Final Cut Pro'

• Instructed a class of over 20 through a fitness course to implement knowledge of the subject along with leadership techniques

• Advised students on proper nutrition, including macros and writing specific nutritional programs as well as workout routines.
