A dedicated professional with extensive experience in the hospitality sector, particularly in food and drink services. Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities and excels in bar management, including tasks such as changing kegs and managing opening and closing procedures. A long success in preparing drinks, including cocktails, while maintaining an amicable and optimistic work environment. Committed to continuous learning and improvement, with a flexible approach to working hours. Possesses basic mathematics skills essential for efficient service operations.
Friendly and outgoing, with excellent interpersonal communication strengths. Capable of processing payments, handling food and meeting customer demands with diligent and well-organised mentality.
In this role, I developed my customer service attributes, building a friendly environment while learning the necessary skills to work a pub. I helped with the count and handling of money and acted as keyholder on many shifts. I often took on the role of Assistant Bar Manager when my boss was absent, advising the team and ensuring a steady shift. I am confident in the preparation of drinks, the upkeep of a busy bar, and handled background actions like taking in deliveries or opening/ locking the place up. This role developed my leadership qualities, and increased my experience and confidence working behind a bar, which I wish to take further.
In this role, I expanded on the skills developed in my last position, but in a busier and more challenging environment. I enhanced my skills of food preparation into safety cleaning up hazards, handling the cleaning of glasses, and operating important machinery. Although, this was less of a customer-facing role, I was successful at building a rapport with the members and workers within the club- developing the understanding that attitude and focus are vital within hospitality roles. Also, I became highly experienced within health and safety regulations. On top of earning the certificates needed to handle glasses, I learned about injury prevention and how to properly act in the case of an accident
At Teens Unite, I was part of a charitable organization which fought cancer in people aged 13-25. I would often handle cash transactions and would be in charge of increasing sales, and creating an amicable environment for our customers, in order to generate money for the charity. This role developed my communication skills and knowledge on the preparation of food and drinks.
