I have recently graduated from Lancaster University leaving with a 2:2 studying Law LLB Hons. Since finishing my time at school, I have only considered working in a legal profession.
As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, I was unable to attend my year abroad to Trento, Italy. I intended to learn Italian and fully embrace the culture of the country whilst I was there. Although I am disappointed, I have adapted my life plan and accepted I will finish university one year earlier so therefore can start work sooner, which in my eyes is beneficial as to reaching my goals faster.
The reason I believe I am right for a career in law is from a young age I have always been comfortable with public speaking and the ability to work exceptionally with others due to my father being a motivational speaker and a high achiever in building social networks. I am very proud of my work ethic mainly because I developed a regime that allowed me to stay on top of my workload by setting myself daily criteria which allows me to be productive whilst maintaining a comfortable level of pressure to meet my deadlines.
Me as a person, I have always been a high achiever and when I set my aspirations, my determination and dedication allow me to reach them. I pick things up quickly and I am always looking to experience new things, I can prove this from my passion to play instruments including the guitar and violin, to learning how to ride a motorcycle over a period of 3 weeks. I am an experienced skier and have the talents to go off-piste alongside black slopes. I am a proud Liverpool FC fan and go to every game I possibly can manage.
I am applying to your firm to gain experience for my future legal career and have the ability to achieve a good idea in what life in the field of law holds for me. I wish to have the opportunity to show the legal world my potential, and by working side by side with qualified solicitors and legal secretaries I anticipate it will shape me into the person I wish to be.
