Duties and responsibilities include :

• Electrical Supervisor and REP stand in as required.
• Minimise plant breakdowns by performing regular maintenance on all HV & LV equipment.
• Carry out testing, fault finding and repairs on any equipment breakdowns and power distribution failures.
• Ensuring all Electrical work and isolations are carried out safely as part of PTW system and Company Electrical Safety Rules
• Re-instate platform power after planned and unplanned shutdowns, high level shutdown testing and in black start scenarios.
• Starting and auto/manual synchronising of emergency and main generators.
• HV & LV Switching and maintenance including application and removal of CMEs and Busbar earths.
• Record all maintenance and breakdowns in Maximo closing out Preventative Maintenance Work Orders, maintenance reporting, raising Work Requests, raising Work Order Deferrals, creating Corrective Work Orders and material ordering.
• Major Shutdown work scope planning, including permit preparation, creating Switching Plans, Impact Assessments and Job Step Plans.
• Liaise with all other disciplines to ensure work is planned and co-ordinated efficiently.
• Liaise with onshore Engineering Departments as required.

Vast experience working on the following carrying out maintenance, testing, fault finding and repairs on:

• Ruston and Solar Turbines
• Emergency Generators
• HV and LV power distribution networks and equipment
• UPS systems
• ABB VSDs
• GEC, S&I and Reyrolle Switchgear and Switchboards
• Protection Relays
• Platform Cranes and MIPEG Systems

• Planning and executing Ex inspection work scopes and remedial work scopes
• Carry out maintenance, testing, inspection, fault finding and repair on Ex rated Equipment
• Carried out initial platform wide survey of all Ex rated equipment and catalogued into Arnlea inspection database.
• Proficient in using Arnlea (Intrinsix) database to record all inspections, faults and to build work orders and routes for preventative and corrective work.
• Gained IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Certificate

Working on new build housing sites. Foreman of site Electrical division. Responsibilities included ensuring all work was carried out to BS7671 standard, testing and commissioning new installations, training apprentices, maintaining stock levels and ordering materials. Also required to carry out any fault finding and repairs.

Served electrical apprenticeship. Gained vast amount of experience working in industrial environments. Involved in numerous new projects, carrying out installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, fault finding and repairs on industrial machinery and control systems. Also regularly carried out P.A.T testing, and full periodic testing of existing installations.
