Duties and responsibilities include :

  • Electrical Supervisor and REP stand in as required.
  • Minimise plant breakdowns by performing regular maintenance on all HV & LV equipment.
  • Carry out testing, fault finding and repairs on any equipment breakdowns and power distribution failures.
  • Ensuring all Electrical work and isolations are carried out safely as part of PTW system and Company Electrical Safety Rules
  • Re-instate platform power after planned and unplanned shutdowns, high level shutdown testing and in black start scenarios.
  • Starting and auto/manual synchronising of emergency and main generators.
  • HV & LV Switching and maintenance including application and removal of CMEs and Busbar earths.
  • Record all maintenance and breakdowns in Maximo closing out Preventative Maintenance Work Orders, maintenance reporting, raising Work Requests, raising Work Order Deferrals, creating Corrective Work Orders and material ordering.
  • Major Shutdown work scope planning, including permit preparation, creating Switching Plans, Impact Assessments and Job Step Plans.
  • Liaise with all other disciplines to ensure work is planned and co-ordinated efficiently.
  • Liaise with onshore Engineering Departments as required.
