After a successful application I was promoted to Regional sales manager. My role is split between managing key accounts across the entire South of the country and leading the South team (South West, South Central, East Anglia and Ireland). We had changes in the team and I had to recruit for the South West, East Anglia and South Central positions and then get them to the required standard of Pencarrie. My account base totals £18 million and my team totals £60 million which directly falls under me. I collaborate with each department to ensure the targets set by the business are being met. I am committed to developing my team and creating a high performance culture.
I re-joined Pencarrie as the Business development manager for the South West. My role here was field based and I managed an area worth £11 million with over 2000 active accounts. The area had struggled for the past couple of years and I was given a tough target in a difficult market but I overachieved this and I grew the area from £11 Million to £12.5 Million in my first year. I continued this performance and gained a strong reputation in the area for my work ethic, integrity and reliability. I quickly became a crucial member in a very experienced team which led me to be promoted to Regional Sales Manager.
Glenigan track and report on every construction project in the UK and provide a searchable database for construction companies to source projects. My role within Glenigan was to bring in new business. I would self source all my potential clients where I would research them and then make contact to sell the Glenigan service. I would book them in for a meeting, present the service and then produce a quote that would tailor their needs. the KPI included sitting four meetings a fay, quoting £120,000 per month, 50 dials a day and achieve £32,000 in new business conversions each month. My biggest achievement was on my first meeting I secured an £18,000 deal which was the highest in the team. I overachieved the target each month.
I joined Pencarrie as an internal sales advisor working alongside the business development managers. My role as the internal sales advisor was to build relationships with not only the current account base bit also look to bring on new accounts from the competitors. I managed over 1000 accounts in the Scottish area. when I joined the area it had already been set a target of £1.3 Million and being 3 months into the year it was considerably behind target. Through hard work and perseverance we ended the year increasing the area by £1.9 million. I was quickly seen as a key member of the year and was asked to manage the over sea accounts which had been badly impacted from Brexit. I increased this area from £450,000 turnover to £800,000.
During Covid I worked as a multi drop delivery driver for Fedex.
EMCAS was a leading claims management company who employed over 200 staff. As a sales executive my role was to initiate claims for people over the phone with a wide range of products from PPI, Package bank accounts, Endowments, Investments and Pension transfers. I had very strict targets to achieve which I always exceeded. As a result of this I was promoted to the after sales team 18 months ahead of the normal expected time scale. I achieved Sales Exec of the Month 4 times and then went on to win Sales Exec of the year. My biggest achievement was securing the largest amount of total win rate in my first year of £770,000 and overall I won customers back a total of £1.2 Million.
I passed out of Royal Marine Commando training as one of 9 original members out of 54. I was then posted to Taunton where I completed over sea operations and worked along side forces from countries all over the world. I quickly achieved the rank of Corporal after 2 years. I was unfortunately Medically discharged from the Marines in 2017. This role enabled me to achieve an incredible work ethic, strong moral values and leadership skills.
