My responsibilities at Barclaycard include:
- Growing Barclaycards ISV (Integrated Software Vendor), Platform and Agency partnership channel in line with the businesses overall strategy.
- Driving new merchant acquisition via the partnership channel by defining and implementing a successful go to market strategy for each partner.
- Lowering attrition by enabling key partner functionality to resolve any product gaps and win share of wallet from competitors.
In my role I have successfully identified, prospected and launched key partnerships via; my existing network of partners, outbound prospecting (via channels such as LinkedIn) and networking at industry events.
Following the launch of new partners, I have successfully created and executed against an agreed go to market strategy and KPI's with each partner to drive merchant acquisition and maximise the growth opportunity of each partnership.
I have a strong internal network of colleagues which enables me to align internal colleagues directly to their counterparts within the partners business. This reduces friction between the businesses and deepens the relationship across commercial, product, technical and senior management teams, leading to a successful, stable, long lasting relationship.
Commercially I have consistently delivered on; my net income target (tracking to exceed my '23 target: £395K), grown my partner portfolio by new partner acquisition YoY and delivered on partner enablement initiatives giving my sales colleagues the tools they need to win new business in open market. All objectives have also been carried out with control mitigating unnecessary risk or reputational damage to the business.
Being a senior member of the team, I am also mentoring a number of colleagues ensuring the team is continually developing and growing. I also represent partnerships in a number of internal forums with senior management ensuring partnerships has a voice and feeds into the wider payments businesses overall strategy.
