I am a second year A level student who is soon to finish my exams and looking for a job in the hospitality sector which will help financially support my first year of university. I have various hobbies such as playing and maintaining guitars as well as Running and playing tennis weekly. I am a active and social person which is why hospitality roles suit me.
During my week of work experience at St Margaret's at Cliffe Primary School, I learnt how to work in a professional space, how to interact with younger people and the routine of having a professional job.
The jobs I carried out consisted of:
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised classroom environment.
Provided 1 on 1 support to students with Maths, Science and English.
Enhanced student wellbeing by encouraging health, safety and good behaviour.
During this summer job i worked for consecutive 2 years after my weeks work experience in year 10, I was part of a front of house team that collectively took orders, handled cash and card payments on tills and served drinks and food. This experience has taught me valuable skills that I can easily apply to any other hospitality based jobs.
During my weeks for experience during the last week of term in year 10 I helped maintain stock and the maintenance of the site such as packing stock into deep freezers, cleaning and handy work around the site. This work experience sparked a connection with both of the owners resulting in 2 following summers of employment.
