Due to the current business position I am actively looking for new employment, as I feel my position at the company is not promised.

As part of my apprenticeship I was allocated the role of shadowing a safety facilitator, from this I have learnt and developed many skills. I have had a good insight into the importance of fostering a culture of safety within the workplace. I have learned to effectively communicate and implement safety protocols, ensuring all team members understand and adhere to these guidelines. I can confidently conduct thorough safety inductions and training sessions, emphasising the significance of hazard identifications, risk assessment and the use of PPE. I can also facilitate meetings, take minutes, assign actions and send out meeting minutes. I am able to confidently use Microsoft Office to showcase and store information and media, I am proficient in organisation and have been able to sort files and folders to ensure everything is in order. My role has enhance my problem solving skills as I address safety concerns and implement preventative measures. I am able to adapt to different environments quickly as I am either in the office or on site where it is a fast paced environment. Being a safety facilitator has showed me the importance of continuous improvement, collaboration, and proactive measures to create a secure and healthy work environment for all.

I was able to stay on top of my work duties as well as my duties as an apprentice. I am able to complete my college coursework on time and to a high standard, and have enjoyed the opportunity to be able to work and gain a qualification at the same time. I have shadowed senior team members to observe established processes and best practices.

I have also taken out time from work to attend training sessions and gain more qualifications and I am currently awaiting availability to complete my Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). I have engaged in on-the-job training to enhance skills related to specific trades and to develop my understanding of our software systems that are used, as well as an A3 Thinking Workshop to develop my problem solving skills.
