Summary

During my time at Bosworth Academy, I have learnt how to develop on a personal level with
my peers but also academically where I have enjoyed challenging myself in areas such as
problem solving, communication as well as learning how to think on the spot. Additionally, I
have been keen to develop my physical skills which has also helped me mentally and
socially too. With these skills in mind, I would like to pursue a career that embraces these
skills and develops them further.
During my GCSE years, I have worked hard in Maths and particularly enjoyed problems
solving using a range of mathematical methods such as using statistics and graphs to
analyse and present data in various contexts. I have also enjoyed using my problem skills in
other subjects such as science, particularly biology and construction.
In practical lessons, including construction, I have enjoyed being more hands on by learning
how to build a wall, putting together an electrical circuit with different components, as well
developing my carpentry skills using a variety woods. This has taught me how to be
adaptable using the resources and tools available and to challenge myself using materials
that I may not be confident using but that may be beneficial to the final product creation.
In Physical Education, I have learnt how important it is to remain focused at all times, which
has helped me mentally inside and outside of school. I not only play for the school team, I think Physical
Education has taught me how to adapt to challenges and has enabled me to be a good
decision maker on and off the pitch.
During my English Language lessons, I have also developed my
communication skills
I am looking forward to the next chapter in my academic journey and facing new challenges
in the career that I chose. With the skills I have learnt so far, I am confident that I will bring
my many good qualities to the subjects that I am applying for.
