I have worked as a swimming assistant and swimming teacher part time since September 2023 whilst studying A-levels. During my time swim teaching I taught children between the ages of 4 to 11 in group lessons and 121 lessons including a range of stages and abilities. This developed my adaptability skills as I needed to changed my teaching styles depending on the age and ability of the child catering to any needs a child may require.
I have been flexible in my approach to work and have been called upon to work with individual children to enhance their swim skills. I have been flexible with my work hours supporting the team which has helped me develop my time management skills.
This last year has taught me how to multitask by being able to manage studying, swim teaching and lifeguarding leading me to be offered a place at university.
I am a motivated individual and I pride myself on having a high attention to detail. An example of this is when I supported a child with severe hearing loss ensuring they felt safe and understood the task presented to them. I received thanks from a parent upon leaving my previous employment for supporting their child's swimming journey.
