I am a detail-oriented and business-minded music industry professional with a strong foundation in both the creative and administrative aspects of music rights. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Music Production and Sound Engineering from Point Blank Music School, which has equipped me with a deep technical understanding of music and the ability to communicate effectively with artists and rights holders. Currently, I work as a Copyright Analyst at AMRA, where I manage global catalogue ingestion and metadata processing to support accurate and efficient royalty distribution for songwriters and publishers. Alongside this, I serve as Head of Publishing and Sync at the Canadian-based independent record label Funktasy, overseeing rights management and identifying sync opportunities across the catalogue. I bring a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and a genuine commitment to supporting creators and protecting their works.
As a Copyright Analyst at AMRA, the Independent Global Digital Music Collection Society, I am responsible for the ingestion and management of both writer and publisher song catalogues. My role involves ensuring metadata accuracy and streamlining ingestion workflows to maximise the efficiency and value of royalty collection for our client creators. I work closely with internal teams to identify and resolve data discrepancies, contributing to the integrity of the global rights management ecosystem. Through this, I help improve the quality, scalability, and speed of catalogue onboarding, ultimately enhancing the transparency and effectiveness of royalty distribution for songwriters and music publishers worldwide
At Funktasy, I lead the Publishing and Sync division, overseeing all aspects of rights management and catalogue monetisation. My responsibilities include developing and maintaining a sync-ready catalogue, negotiating and pursuing sync licensing opportunities across film, TV, advertising, and digital media, and building strategic relationships with music supervisors and licensing partners. I also work to establish co-publishing agreements to expand the reach and commercial potential of our roster. This role combines creative A&R sensibilities with a strong focus on rights administration, licensing strategy, and long-term revenue growth through publishing and sync channels.
My six-week placement with music producer and sync composer James King was an excellent opportunity to gain valuable insight into working within the music sync industry, I am able to demonstrate and improve upon cultivating a mindset of creativity as well as my skills in composition, production, mixing and mastering and using both software and hardware.
