  • Council lead for the development and delivery of the housing pipeline of sites securing £7.3m in capital receipts and 700 homes (400 affordable & specialist) in 3 years; brokering a deal with Homes England on the East Lancashire Paper Mill a 21.08ha site for £3.045m and onward sale to Morris Homes (400 homes).
  • Led the Growth Location strategic investment plan, small sites review and agreeing opportunity and priority sites in Bury, Radcliffe and Prestwich.
  • Secured GMCA & HE c. £800k in revenue funding to progress schemes to RIBA Stage 2 - leading professional teams to masterplan, appraise and de-risk sites & devising disposal & funding strategies.
  • Sponsored £9m Brownfield housing capital funding for registered providers and private developers.
  • Project lead on Places for Everyone (6100 homes) – second largest allocation in Greater Manchester (Elton Res). Leading partnership, funding and land deal with Peel Land.
  • Led the business case for securing £1.73m OPE BLRF Pyramid Park capital bid to remediate key gateway site in in partnership with TfGM.
  • Oversaw successful delivery of permanent Gypsy and Traveller site (HE funded) with my team winning the 2023 staff Let’s Do it local award.
  • · Oversee the Council's Registered Provider Framework and Affordable Homes Programme, S.106 direct let policies with registered providers.
  • Chair of Housing Growth Board, Member of Regeneration Board, responsible for briefing portfolio members and Leader briefings.

  • Better Business case trained. Provided leadership and support to develop cases for investment supporting Local authorities, registered providers and private developers to deliver pipeline of 4500-6000 homes by March 2025 (£89m Brownfield Housing from DLUHC).
  • Kirklees and Calderdale (11 projects ranging from 100% affordable with Registered Providers, open market scheme with developers, Private Rented Scheme, and large mix use scheme comprising Lidl, Apartment blocks and Grade 2* heritage asset).
  • Led team of cost and technical consultants to undertake shadow appraisals, technical assessment of schemes, Benefit Cost Ratio, Deal Structures and assessing VfM.
  • Worked within WYCAs funding appraisal and approval process and negotiated GFAs, Security and Overage Agreements with delivery partners.
  • Prior to joining the Brownfield team, I worked on Getting Building Fund, leading business cases on 15 projects across Kirklees, Bradford, Wakefield, Calderdale and Leeds; including; Grade 2 listed George Hotel (Rugby League museum), council house retrofit scheme in Halifax (Beech Hill P2), Bradford City Village and Grade 2 listed Dewsbury Arcade, Wakefield Warm Homes scheme to name a few. (£1.5m-£15m).
  • Project Manager of British Library North (£70m) as part of Leeds south regeneration scheme.
