I'm currently studying my A-levels, where I've developed good discipline and learned how to manage pressure and workload. Alongside this, I've worked as a Window Film Installer Assistant in a family-run business, helping with installations and making sure work was done to a high standard while also speaking to customers. I've also completed the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and taken part in a World Challenge expedition, which pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me build resilience, independence, and teamwork skills. Overall, these experiences have helped me become a reliable and motivated person who's comfortable taking on challenges and working with others.
I worked as a Window Film Installer Assistant in a family-run business, helping with installations in both homes and commercial buildings. I was responsible for preparing surfaces by cleaning and measuring carefully, making sure everything was done properly so the final result looked professional. The work taught me to pay close attention to detail and stay focused, as small mistakes could affect the overall finish. I also spoke with customers during jobs, which helped me build confidence and communicate clearly in a professional way. Working closely with a small team, I became more reliable, learnt how to manage my time effectively, and stayed calm when things didn't go to plan.
Expeditions & Volunteering
World Challenge - Eswatini (2-week expedition)
I took part in a two-week expedition to Eswatini, which involved several days of trekking as part of a team in challenging and unfamiliar conditions. I helped organise food supplies, budgeting, and day-to-day spending for the group, requiring careful planning and responsibility to ensure resources were managed effectively throughout the trip. Alongside this, I volunteered at a local primary school, supporting building and improvement projects that directly benefited the community. The experience strengthened my teamwork, adaptability, and ability to stay calm and make sensible decisions in demanding situations.
