I am currently studying Primary Education at the University of Aberdeen after declining a place to study MA (Hons) Physical Education at the University of Edinburgh. I have been passionate about sport from a very young age and won the David Catto Cup for outstanding contribution in sport to Portlethen Academy before my move to University. I was selected as a prefect to share the school's core values and as a role model promoted positive behaviours in the school I continue to play football for the University and an Amateur League Team, go to the gym and I am confident in most sports activities. As a hearing aid user, I am familiar with various communication techniques and understand the difficulties a child with a disability may experience.
As part of my Foundation Apprenticeship, I spent a year on placement at a local primary school. I received amazing feedback and was nominated for Young Apprentice of the Year 2024. This was the deciding factor in my choice to change University courses.
