• Using my knowledge from previous 16 years in the Glass Processing industry to help customers purchase the correct products to their specific needs at the right cost.
• Supplying all aspects of a project including glass, hardware, logistics and sundries. Advising glass take offs suitable to the hardware provided and arranging customised drawings.
• Supply only projects often included balustrading, partitioning, shop fronts, shower enclosures, splashbacks and many more areas of the glazing industry.
• Sales management role held for the last four years. In charge of the trade counter, merchanting sales and logistics.
• Proud history of cost reductions by meeting with current and new suppliers and negotiating better rates.
• Impressive skill set developed prior to sales role, puts myself in a better position to advise accurately.
• Skill set includes all aspects of DGU manufacturing, glass toughening, UV bonding, laminating, processing, glass cutting (manual and automated) and sandblasting.
• Maintaining customer base in current market (when we couldn't compete with larger companies on cost), by going the extra mile through good service, communication, reduced but realistic lead times and honesty.
• Enforcing health and safety regulations on the factory floor and through staff whilst delivering.
• Enforcing stock takes and stock rotation to help enable lower prices for sundries and tools.

• General production worker learning all aspects of the factory to learn the trade. Primarily a DGU manufacturing facility, my jobs roles included the below skills.
• IGU production line all stations covered, (glass washing, frame setting, PIB injection, inspection)
• Glass toughening using a Cooltemper furnace and a Efco furnace.
• Glass sealing - Hot Melt
• Spacer bar preparation
• Face leading, decorative films and bevels.
• Glass cutting - Float, laminates, patterns.
• Moved on from Multiglass to learn further in the trade experiencing new products, machinery and skill sets.

During my time at Lakeside, I learned the trade from the very bottom. I had to be patient starting as a general labourer, before going on to learn every aspect that this factory offered. Skills at Lakeside largely mirror the skills at Multiglass.
