2024/5 - Overseas

• Completed a course on a MOD developed cloud based system. Developing my understanding of cloud computing & active directory.
• 6 month deployment overseas, with responsibilities of staffing a service support desk & maintaining network infrastructure.
• Brigadier Generals Commendation. One of five out of a 150+ strong squadron to receive this commendation, for my efforts while overseas.

Service Desk

• Providing technical support for the over 900 deployed personnel overseas.
• Daily use of Microsoft 365 services, including the management/modification of a SharePoint item register for mobile devices.
• Utilized my experience in computing to review & identify improvements on existing security policies then efficiently communicated these recommendations to staff officers. Resulting in their implementation.

Meraki Network

• Traveled across a large geographic region to fix infrastructure outages due to natural disasters.
• Created 24 hours ethernet download station to more effectively utilize limit bandwidth available to users. Further enhanced the quality of this service by completing business cases to justify procurement of additional equipment.
• Created documentation in the form of PowerPoint presentation and guides to assist in the training of my replacement.

Continuous Professional Development - Deployment

• Completed CISCO NetAcad 'Network Basics' & 'Networking Devices/Configuration' MOOC's with the aim of becoming CCNA qualified before May 2025
