1. To coordinate and manage the day to day maintenance and upkeep of the hotel as it pertains to engineering and grounds, under the direction of the Engineering Management.
2. To continually support and improve engineering services that effectively address problems affecting both guests and associates.
3.To be an independent mechanic, able to analyze problems and to formulate plans to get work done quickly including procurement of materials, parts, etc., and necessary scheduling arrangements with a high degree of quality.

· Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance activities in accordance with the company and departmental standards to all areas of the hotel. This will include guest bedrooms, public areas, and all main plant /machinery.
· Protect the assets of the hotel and company to include any items of uniform and company tools issued.
· Provide a fast, professional and reactive response to breakdown calls within 15 minutes of a guest request and emergencies.
· To be proficient in multi-trade disciplines, with at least basic electrical, carpentry, decorating and plumbing knowledge and skills.

· Participate within the engineering shift rota pattern.

Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance activities to electrical and other equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines & recommendations, and with the company and departmental policies & standards throughout the ship this include electrical faultfinding, defect rectification and routine maintenance activities in ships’ Generators up to 3´1000 KW, automation of fully automatic standby Generators, fully electrical Cranes up to 40 tons, all type of Motor Starters, Converters, Emergency lighting systems, A/C plants Refer containers, Switch gears, Automation of cargo vessel engines up to 17500 BHP, Vertical smoke tube auxiliary Boilers working pressure up to 15 bar, overhaul of AC/DC motors, Fire protection systems, specially repair and maintenance of electrical and Electronic Circuits associated with Pneumatic and Hydraulic applications, ship's Radars, all type of Navigation Equipment, Oil Purifiers wide range of Auxiliary Equipment and supporting Auxiliary Systems including; Overhead Cranes, Pumps, Fans, Mechanical Drives & Assemblies, 415 VAC Motors & Pumps, Monitoring equipment and a working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management systems process sites such as Power Stations, Oil & Gas, etc.
