I started out as a delivery driver, before being promoted to onsite lead for one of the contractors main Scottish locations. This involved me managing a large team of drivers, creating shift patterns, making sure my rota was fully covered day to day, monitoring rental vans and being the main point of contact between the contract and my drivers. This involves dealing with customer complaints, ensuring performance standards were met and responding to emergency calls.

Framing pictures, cutting glass to size, and serving customers daily.
Measuring glass accurately and trimming edges for clean, safe fits.
Unloading deliveries carefully to maintain stock readiness for customers.

This gave me an insight into the world of logistics, gaining important warehouse experience, improved my social skills, as I interacted with a vast number of different customers everyday and gave me good practice driving heavy vehicles in and around different towns and cities.

As well as driving and customer interaction, I carried out many of the instore tasks, which mainly consisted of food preparation, serving customers and answering phones.

This role mainly consisted of me serving customers, working on the tills, but I was also on the shop floor, putting out stock and making sure the shop environment was clean and welcoming.

Working as part of the the catering team during matchdays at various football grounds. This job has helped consolidate my use of a till and money handling, as well as my ability to serve customers. It also tested my ability to work under pressure, as it can get very busy on matchday, and gave me an opportunity to make up a variety of different meals.
